Carmel’s students have shone once again with extremely amazing talent as they take the stage with fashion, music and dance. This event of glitz and glamour was held at Carmel School Kuwait on the 28th of April 2012. The event was witnessed by the esteemed judges Miss Vanessa Fernandes, (Present day Speech-language pathologist and audiologist and also an Ex Carmelite), Mr. Sahil Sayed,(Present day Business student), Miss Sleha Mukadam( Present day Bridal Couture designer), Mrs. Vaishali Gandhi ( Present day Fashion designer and owns a Fashion Boutique back in India), the sisters of Carmel school , along with the parents and students.
The show began with the “Summer round” portraying the newest summer trends along with creative hats done by the contestants which really turned up the volume in the room and the judges were wowed by Miss Alisha of class 9.

After a steamy show the audience were then entertained by one of Carmel’s knighting gale Miss Oralia Lewis of class 8 as she performed Jars of hearts- by Christina Perry and paid her tribute to all those soldiers who lost their lives in war last year.

Then the show moved on to the second round which was termed as the “Mask round”, where the Carmel students got to portray their sly and suspicious side as the round was named as “Angels and Devils in disguise”, and the winning contestant, who took the audience’s attention with her looks and astounding costume and grabbed her crown was Miss Zahra of class 12.

Every Carmelite has a party animal in them, that’s just waiting to burst out and yes, finally their day did come as the next round was where the contestants took a walk on the wild side and gave the audience and judges a ride to their party side, and the “Sorry For Party Rocking” title was given to a very deserving contestant Miss Rebecca of class 12.

After a rocking round the atmosphere was shifted to a mellower level as the crowd was entertained by another knighting gale Miss Giselle of call 8 as she sang Safe and Sound-by Taylor Swift dedicated to all the families who lost their loved ones last year.

Finally after a lovely performance the next round called the “Bridal round” took place where our Carmelites showed off their bridal couture as they walked the ramp with elegance and grace and the contestant who amazed and dazzled the audience and judges was Miss Sarah Alphonso of class 12 as she proved to be one of the most enchanting and grace full bride of the round.

Well enough with fashion and couture the anchors said as they led the crowd to the “Solo dance Competition”, the contestants danced to some foot taping numbers and the dancer who wowed the crowd with her “hip hop” routine was Miss Mikhaya of class 11.

The show finally ended with the famous Carmel Dance Crew “ThE MiSfItS” performing an astonishing performance and wowed the crowd as they always do. As well as the organizers of the show Mrs. Sangeeta and Master Nigel Lewis as well as Master Jovi Gomes, were applauded for a job well done.
