A Day with the superman

Mr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdary, the world record holder for the highest number of pushups in one minute (198 pushups) and for his memory power that lies beyond comparison had everything and more than what a person needs to be called a true ‘source of inspiration’ or a ‘superman.’

The workshop held by IndiansinKuwait.com (IIK) was the perfect initiative that any organization claiming to create a bond among Indians In Kuwait could’ve taken. The man asked the last 2 digits of the phone numbers of some 20 people among the crowd and repeated all the digits in the expected order and not only that, he did the same in the reverse order as well. Now, how is that for a super power act? One must call himself an unlucky person if he/she missed the program. The 10-hour workshop didn’t seem to give birth to even a pinch of boredom in the minds of any of the participants of the workshop. The man, with his admirable sense of humor, wonderful interactive skills and obviously his very effective memory powers, just blew the 400+ minds in the hall.

So what exactly did the participants in this workshop get from this session? Well, putting it in simple terms, they received the very presence of the man and his acts before the people. But other than this, there was this kit that was given to each person, which comprised of the pneumonic pen of which Mr. Biswaroop is the patent, couple of test papers and a few activity-oriented worksheets and paraphernalia. The explanation was simple, understandable and very catchy. It would be of no surprise if each of these participants came out of the workshop with memory power increased by over a 50%.

The program though had some areas, which left the participants a little disappointed. The food was said to be quite disagreeable and some complained that the large crowd could’ve been maintained better when it came to entrance and exit.

Some of his words just seem to be caught by all the minds, some of them being his words that ‘memory is not defined by what you learn but by what you recall’. He emphasized on the fact that a very strong imagination is very pivotal in what can be called ‘improvement of memory power’. He explained how one could prepare for a speech or an examination using his surroundings, not leaving a single chance to make the crowd burst into laughter in his process of doing so! The superwoman of the program, Mrs. Neerja, who is the student cum wife of Mr. Biswaroop was quite interesting as well. Her claim of being a walking dictionary shocked some people but when she presented her skills before the crowd, they were left wonderstruck.

To end it in a nutshell, a very good work and program presented by Mr. Biswaroop and the entire team of IIK. The program undoubtedly matched and probably surpassed the expectations of the people. Hearty Congratulations to the IIK Team.
