Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on His Birth Anniversary

The students of FAIPS DPS organized a virtual tribute to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The event, held on the Zoom platform on 9 th October, was to focus on the teachings of Gandhiji and its relevance to the students. October 2nd also marks the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The event began with a brief expression of condolence on the death of the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah with observing of one minute silence as a mark of respect. The short assembly unfolded with the Kuwait National Anthem followed by a prayer recital by the Vice Principal, Ms. Vineeta Munshi. The Head Mistress, Ms. Harvinder Anand reminded the students of the many lessons from Gandhiji’s life that can be imbibed by them..

The students of Class 8 organised a small presentation on the life of Gandhiji and spoke about his values that can be incorporated in the Indian Constitution as well. FAIPS choir sang a melodious song in honour of Gandhiji. Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli addressed the group and highlighted the Gandhian values of truthfulness and determination that can help students during their online classes and tests.

The event concluded with the playing of the Indian National Anthem.
