The unbreakable indo-Kuwait relationship

The Indo-Kuwait relationship can be considered pretty strong in various aspects such as economy, culture and entertainment.

• Economic aspect-

On the basis of economic aspect, we can very well see that there is 11-13% of business of India's oil imports while India is among the largest trade partners of Kuwait.

• Cultural aspects-

If we start discussing about this particular aspect it is going to take years for us to get done with the discussion. Over the years we Indians in Kuwait have witnessed the evolution of Indian culture in Kuwait as well as the Kuwaiti culture in our homes.

One of the things that indicates such a relationship is the food habits of both Indians and Kuwaitis, we enjoy each other’s cuisines really well.it is pretty common for us to see Kuwaitis in Indian restaurants and cultural programs. This obviously shows the liking of the Kuwaiti people about the culture. We Indians are not anywhere lesser. We to enjoy their culture and food. What good is life without those amazing falafels and shish taouk????

• Entertaining aspects-

Each and every time I try to get a ticket for the first show of any Hindi movie I am utmost astonished by the fact that I see a lot Kuwaiti people sitting there. And adding to the fact is that Hindi movies come with Arabic subtitles,

Adding to these is one of the most unforgettable opportunities created by IIK every year during the Diwali mela to experience the enthralling love of Mubarak al-Rashid for Hindi music. Though this mela focuses on Indian associations, we still get to see a lot of Kuwaitis out there once again enjoying our music dances, songs and also our ethnic wear and foods

• The Indian workforce-

Indian population provides a really big workforce to Kuwait oil refineries, hospitals and schools. Kuwaitis also depend more on Indians for responsible work to be done. The demand for Indian nurses remains strong and Kuwaiti authorities also indicate that the Indian community in Kuwait may reach the one million mark in the near future. Around 24,000 Indians are working for Kuwaiti government entities as nurses and engineers in National Oil Companies besides a few scientists.

The Indo-Kuwait relationship is not limited to this, but it is always going to keep flourishing forever.
