An exciting break away in this time would be to go jump out a plane at 13,000 feet! Yes, I am suggesting Sky Diving and that too for a novice with no past experience or training. There was a time when we had to go to Dubai for Sky Diving. Now it is possible without travelling in Kuwait with Kuwait Sky Dive and Fly. As the name says it is really a high-flying experience.
Kuwait Skydive is the first and only skydiving center in Kuwait. They have Tandem Jumps as well as skydiving lessons.
Tandem skydive is the easiest method to experience the thrill of flying over 13,000 feet altitude whilst securely attached in a harness to one of the highly qualified instructors. It is indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a mix of the emotions between the sensation of being closer to the sky and exhilarating taste of adrenaline. You just have to give full faith in your instructor jumper and you can relish the marvelous panorama of the famous facility of Al Khairan resort, spectacular view of Khiran Sea City, the Persian Gulf view with its Saudi Arabia’s border and Al Wafra farms. They have Female instructors as well. Entire process of your jump will be captured (Photos and Videos) using a GoPro by the instructor which will give you that goosebumps to re-live the experience again and again.

Kuwait Skydive also offers an AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) course for KWD980. The course includes 8 jumps and takes around 7-10 days to complete. If you would like to be able to skydive by yourself the AFF course is the solution. Once you have completed the course, you will receive your own jump logbook and you will be able to start jumping out of the plane by yourself. In addition, courses are also offered for parachute packing, group skydives etc.
I went for a Tandem Jump a week back and the experience was amazing. I used to believe that those who are scared of heights would never be able to Sky Dive. I am not very comfortable with heights and yet I thoroughly enjoyed the flying experience. Total process is about 10-12 minutes in all. 5 Minutes climb to 13,000 feet in airplane, 1 Minute of Free Fall (no parachute), and 5 Minutes gliding in parachute to landing strip. The free fall reaches speeds of almost 200kmph as we fall through the sky. Once you overcome the initial nervous moments which lasts for few seconds, then it is the most exciting experience. Altogether I would say a thrilling, intense and unique experience for a lifetime!
