The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Kuwait Chapter Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2025 with Renowned Yoga Guru “Padma shri Dr. H.R. Nagendra”
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Kuwait Chapter, in collaboration with the Centre for India Studies (CIS) Kuwait, successfully organized a grand celebration of the International Day of Yoga 2025 focusing on “A Path to Inner Peace”. The event was held as a tribute to International Yoga Day, observed globally on 21st June each year, emphasizing the timeless relevance of yoga in modern life.
The grand event featured the esteemed presence of Padma Shri Dr. H.R. Nagendra, a globally respected yoga guru and personal yoga consultant to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, along with Dr. N.K. Manjunath, Vice-Chancellor of S-VYASA University.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by welcome addresses from Shri R. Roopesh, General Secretary of CIS and Shri Baija Nath Prasad, Second Secretary (Education and Culture) from the Embassy of India, Kuwait.
CA Rohit Agarwal, Chairperson of ICAI Kuwait Chapter and Shri TR Sanju Raj, President of CIS, also delivered inspiring speeches.
Dr. H.R. Nagendra highlighted the philosophical aspects of yoga to humanity while Dr. N.K. Manjunath shared the benefits of practicing Yoga to all phases of human lives, and also to the planetary health. Dr H R Nagendra further emphasized the importance of Yoga as part of course curriculum to the younger generation for their overall health & wellbeing.
The event also featured a vibrant yoga performance by the Student Wing of CIS Kuwait, followed by a Common Yoga Protocol session skillfully led by Yoga Trainer Mr. Ajay Bhobria along with the team, energizing the participants and offering a practical experience of yoga’s benefits.
The ICAI Kuwait Chapter and CIS Kuwait felicitated Dr. H.R. Nagendra and Dr. N.K. Manjunath for their outstanding contributions to yoga.
Miss Vrinda Vinuraj, the student of CIS, Kuwait guided the session as master of ceremony while CA Umesh Soni, the Secretary of the ICAI Kuwait Chapter, delivered the heartfelt vote of thanks, at the end thanking all the participants, guests and dignitaries.
The event concluded with a group photo session and refreshments, providing an opportunity for participants to network and celebrate the essence of yoga. The celebration was a resounding success, with participants appreciating the efforts of ICAI Kuwait Chapter in promoting yoga and wellness.
