The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has temporarily suspended the civil ID residential address change service on the "Sahel" government app. The suspension comes as part of ongoing development efforts to improve electronic services for non-Kuwaiti residents.
According to local report, the authority is working to enhance the online service and aims to resume it soon through both the Sahel app and the PACI website. Until then, expatriates wishing to change their residential address are advised to book an appointment in advance through the official appointment booking platform. They can then visit one of PACI's service centers to complete their applications in person. PACI is receiving applications for address changes at four service centers: Main Building: Evening hours, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Jahra and Ahmadi Centers: Morning hours, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Liberation Tower: Both morning and evening hours
The sources clarified that the suspension is only temporary, and efforts are underway to reactivate the service electronically in the coming days.
The authority’s main building saw heavy foot traffic during the evening hours on Wednesday and Thursday, as many residents sought to complete their address change transactions following the temporary suspension of the Sahel app service.
