Tamil Pasanga Riggae lifts the Cup of Unimoni Saturday Cricket League Season 4

Unimoni SCL finals held at Riggae Cricket Ground on 15 Nov 2019 was a real entertainer for the spectators. Tamil Pasanga Riggae took on mighty Silent Killers in the Finals. TPR won the stupendous match by 6 wickets and Crowned as Unimoni Saturday Cricket League (SCL) Season 4 Champions.

13 Teams competed against each other in Group stage and Top 8 qualified for the Knockout Stage.

Tamil Pasanga Riggae gave a nail biting finish at the Quarter Final and won against Desert Hawks by 9 runs. They went on to win the Semi Final against JCC by 9 runs on a low scoring thriller defending 90 runs.

Silent Killers had qualified directly to the Semi Final because of their top performance in Group Stage. They made their way to the finals by defeating Place XI by 42 runs with their fierceful bowling line up on defending 116.

On the Big final Day, Silent Killers won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 120/9 in 12 overs. A splendid batting performance from Vicky Waghmare (53 runs off 23 balls) and supporting cameo from Shakeel Azad (22 runs off 16 balls) are worth mentioning. The unsung hero of this match was Muthu (Tamil Pasanga Riggae) who contained the opposition team with his consistent line and length picking up 4 wickets in 3 overs conceding just 13 runs, backed up by his partner Kabeer with the economy of 6.67 in his allotted 3 overs.

With 121 as a target to win, Team Tamil Pasanga finished the match 123/4 with 14 balls to spare. Kabeer showcased his all round performance to bag SCL 4 season cup for his team by scoring 45 runs off 24 balls supported by Praveen with his classic shots scoring 30 runs off 15 balls and Storm hitting by Sathish Sekhar scoring 28 off just 9 balls.

Kabeer from Tamil Pasanga Riggae awarded as Hero of the match for his All rounder performance which undoubtedly led his team as SCL 4 winners.

Rashid Abdullah (Silent Killers) was awarded as Best Bowler and Player of the Series because of his brilliant stats (15 Matches - 182 runs & 38 Wickets).

Dijo Xavier from team Red and Black was awarded as Best Batsman of the Series for his consistent batting throughout this season (12 Matches - 396 runs)

Subin Selvaraj from team Abbasiya Jaguars was awarded as Best Fielder of the Series for his 25 dismissals.

Sarath Vasudev of JCC got Best Catch of the tournament for his acrobatic running low catch against Team Tamil Pasanga in Semi Final.

The presentation ceremony was honored by Grand Trophy Sponsors UNIMONI Mr. Renjth S Pillai & Mr.Sreejith Mohandas, Co Sponsored by Place Restaurant Mr. Bagins Jose. Mr.Shuhaib Ayoob - Kuwait Premier League Manager’s presence also enlightened the final Ceremony.

Sponsors presented the Trophies and Cash prices to the Finalists and life time cherishable moments were captured.
