Strict action on wrong parking of cars

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Interior Major-General Fahd Al-Shuwea issued instructions to all traffic departments in the six governorates to activate the traffic law concerning parking vehicles in ‘No Parking’ zones and vehicles which cause traffic jam.

According to Al-Anba report, the registration number plates will be withdrawn for 15 days after citing the violation and the law shall be applied on all citizens and residents.

Daily quoting official sources said that the purpose of the law is not to collect money but to reduce traffic congestion in residential and commercial areas due to vehicles parked indiscriminately.

Meanwhile the traffic department carried out several surprise campaigns, resulting in issuing 31,890 traffic citations, while 911 vehicles were impounded, 13 persons were jailed for grave violations and four were sent for deportation.

The authorities should understand how the Baldiya is giving permissions to New buildings without any parking place, Almost all restaurants are allowed besides roads without any parking. A citizen can park his car anywhere he wants. If we look at Jleeb, Abbasiya, Farwaniya, Salmiya etc there is no single building have parking at least 10% of its tenants.

First of all parking should be available in the same building which expacts living owners Should make the basement car parking not for Renting , change duty Timing between government & Private sector & school also most off the traffic just because of schools only ,then you will see all road will traffic free in sha allah

Suffering in Kuwait

What about all the PRIVATE car sheds built on public land illegally? This forces others to park on footpaths etc while some people block off the public area for themselves. The baladia too seems to turn a blind eye to such encroachments.

wow.. I realy cant understand how the logic of authorities work in Kuwait.. you give permission to build residential apartments, shopping malls and business towers with no parking or inadequate parking facilities.. my office building (32 floor building) in city as well as around 5 towers of similar height in this block have either not a single parking space or below 5 parking spaces.. how can you give permission to build a 30 storey building with over 500 people working in each to construct without parking spaces..
how do you expect entire residential areas to be constructed without parking spaces.. where do you expect people to keep their vehicles..? and authorites taking strict measures against the victims of these Insensible decisions by the authorities themselves..
and for wrong parking, its not just fine, the police removes and take the car registration plate away which is such a misery for about a week to retrieve.. people claim about humanitarian aids Kuwait provides for African countries but not a thing is seen in Kuwait... how abt the expats in kuwait..?? how abt the basic necessities and standards of living for expats..?
I see a tremendous increase in the number of beggers as well as the crimes in Kuwait in the recent years.. where is all these heading to..?
seriously Kuwait.. its sad to see such a beautiful country of the past is nose-diving downwards due to insensible planning and decisions...!!

Please Understand - Major General Fahad

Also the 2 slots Handicapped parking should be reserved for them only .. at no cost even middle of peak or unpeak hours no one has the right to park there ... A heavy ticket on this I would agree by MOI if this done equally not only to expats but to the locals citizen as well --- For sure it is very well seldom expats would ever have the guts to park at the handicapped slots ----

first organize and discipline within...make bldg owners make the basement car parks instead of warehouse renting...make multiple car park complexes.....ban the parents & private transportations in schools.... ban roadside ordering of restaurants & cafeteria... change the official hours of different government establishments....THE ROADS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BECOME FREE OF ANY JAMS.

Please do implement this is Jleeb without fail. People with no rational thinking comes and cross park everywhere even in corners. Driving or even to walk is becoming a nightmare due to this.
