The decision to stop all tourist and family visit visas is due to the large number of visit visa violators, who enter the country during the past months and did not leave, local Arabic daily Al-Rai reported. According to its report, the around 20,000 visa violators are present in the last few months. The number of expatriates who entered the country on tourist and family visas during 2022 reached about 70,000.
Sources also stated that the decision to suspend visa does not include electronic visas that are granted directly to some nationalities at the airport.
