Frustration, Anger and fear shutdown the thinking parts of our brain. When the child is deregulated they cannot access the smartest part of the brain until their emotions are calmed. This article is all about the parental pressure on their children to study and to do well in their academics. When I was scrolling through YouTube shorts, I saw an emotional video that makes me write this article. In that video, there was a small boy whose mother was pressuring him to study. He was crying and was not able to speak also. After watching that video, I started researching more about this topic and I got some more examples of that same.
Although the pressure is mainly based on good intentions, but sometimes parents go beyond what’s acceptable for students. As a student, your child will constantly look for your validation, even a slightly disappointed expression can send them into a bad mental state they will start questioning their capabilities slowly leading to fear, anxiety and other mental illness. Now imagine what too much pressure can make them go through?
There is a fine line between being a caring parent and taking things too far pressuring kids can lead to many further consequences. A student’s academic performance is affected by numerous factors, starting from physical to emotional aspects. When a child who is also a full-time student has to deal with all pressure from all areas of life, They will follow in the academic performance.

I am not blaming all the parents, but some parents who actually are pressuring their kids.
Well my parents never pressurize me for studies. They always support me in every situation.
