Return to school plan approved; 20 students per classroom

Education Committee in Council of Minister approved the recommendations by Educational Committee regarding the implementation of return to schools for both public and private education sectors at the beginning of the next academic year (2021/ 2022) as per the health requirements due to the (Covid-19) pandemic, Al Qabas daily reported

According to Al-Qabas Arabic daily, the council reviewed the committee's recommendation, which included the coordination measures between the ministries of education and health. The committee's recommendation suggest that the number of students per class does not exceed 20 in public and private schools. The committee is also proposing a weekly PCR test as a requirement for unvaccinated students to enter schools. A final plan is expected to announce shortly.

The council will form a higher committee headed by the Minister of Education, with members including officials from ministry of education, health, media, interior and other government officials.

The committee will decide the dates for return to school, measures for transition from online to offline methods. Health guidelines will be prepared and circulated to all the concerned parties to deal with various health conditions, and to hold training and awareness programs.

The council will take priority to complete vaccinating students before September and to set frameworks for dealing with the unvaccinated students.

@ human

Don''t worry bro, there will be rotation plan and all the 40 children in a class will be given a chance to attend the school physically for few days in a week, by keeping the limit to 20 students per class on any given day.

@Human, Think practically before you comment such nonsense. There are different ways to handle such situations. Only 20 students are allowed in a class does not mean that the rest of the class always remain at home. There are smart and experienced people to take wise decisions, all are not like you.

I think starting the schools for students below 14 years old will not be a good idea, better continue the online class for student upto 9th std until the pandemic is controlled or open the schools only for students from 10th std and above.
Kids cannot follow all the proper safety measures. Even the adults are not bothered about that, Still lot of idiots are in the public places without mask or not using it properly.

@ Rahaman...r u ok.....read again ...only 20 students in a class means those 20 only will be meeting friends and teachers and a new world... what about all the other students....they will stay home online and grow up without meeting friends and teachers and a new world !!!
20 will be normal and rest will be abnormal ??? usually there are 40 students on average in a classroom in INDIAN SCHOOLS !!!
