Return of vaccinated expats from August 1st; No entry to malls if not vaccinated

In its meeting today (Thursday), the Kuwait cabinet decided to approve the recommendation of the Supreme Committee for Corona Emergency to allow the return of residents who received the anti-Coronavirus vaccine to Kuwait.

Expatriates, who completed the two doses of approved vaccines, can return to Kuwait from August 1st. They will be under 7 days home quarantine.

The Cabinet agreed not to allow citizens to travel unless they received two doses of the vaccine, with the exception of those who obtained a certificate that they could not obtain the vaccine and pregnant women, as of August 1st.

Cabinet also decided that, starting from June 27th, entry to shopping malls (with area of more than 6000 sq meter), cafes, restaurants, salons etc will be restricted only to those who completed their vaccination.

The decision to close shopping malls at 8:00 pm will continue.

Good to hear the news which is good progress. Most expat housewives are not vaccinated. So their entry to malls, restaurants is restricted now. It will hv an impact on footfalls.

Covishield is approved by WHO.so none can deny that. It''s name is AstraZeneca.
Return of expats should have taken early in July 1.
August definetly it''s going to be a big rush of citizens returning from vacations ,expats teachers, expat students, and all families accompanying kids .too much at one time will boost the tickets cost also.
I request the authorities to double check this decision..
