IIK Staff Reporter Thursday, July 2, 2020
Renewal only for one year for family visa, domestic worker and Ministry employees

General Administration of Residency Affairs under the Ministry of Interior announced that people who's residency expired between January 2, 2020 and February 29 are granted valid residency until August 31 without any fines.

However, anyone whose residency expired on or before January 1 will have to leave the country and will not be allowed to renew their residency. They will be deported if caught.

Residence permits will be renewed only for one year for workers in the government sector, servants, family members, holders of Article 23 and self sponsors (Article 17, 20, 22, 23, 24) while Article 18 renewal shall be according to the work permit.
