Queries raised about the cleaning companies and garbage collection

As the volume of garbage increasing in various parts of the country and a large number of citizens and expats had been complaining about garbage collection, Municipal Council member Maha AlBaghli filed inquiries concerning cleaning contracts.

In her inquires, Baghli demanded answers to questions about who is responsible for the service deterioration, the value of the current contracts, on what grounds are cleaning companies selected, the penal conditions in those contracts and the violations filed against cleaning companies, if any.

Baghli stressed that cleaning companies failed in providing the services they had been contracted for, and that the municipality’s control on those companies was ‘very weak.’

New company is not picking trash laying outside the waste bin, during the period of contract change for 3 days nobody picked up the trash and all the waste bins was overflowing… now the cleaning company is not picking it… they are just clearing the waste bins and leaving

Yes this is right. The situation in Abbasiya is worse. Cleaning company is not taking waste and is piling up in various locations and causes bad smell. It might become even worse in this flu season

It is practically litter everywhere in Mangaf. No idea why such drastic deterioration in cleaning services. It is a shame that even in rich countries like Kuwait, we are seeing this happen.
