There is no facility to obtain Aadhaar to NRI's staying outside India. There should be an option to make it in Indian emmbassy.Everybody can't make it in India during his vacation. Indian Government has to make some amendment and authorise to Indian counsulate for it which will be convinient for expatriate. or someone can come on visit from Indian authority to make it here or only take the finger print & eye scan requirement alongwith collection of document (Required).

Making this card available to each and every citizen of our country has been the dream and desire of our very honorable prime minister, Mr.Manmohan Singh. There are a number of very experienced and efficient brains and hands behind the birth of this card, one of them being Mr.Nandan Nilekani, who has taken up the challenge of heading the Unique Identification Authority of India after giving his best to make Infosys Technologies Ltd and the IT scenario of India as a whole what it is today. If this dream of our prime minister and his government has been turned to reality, then one can very confidently say that this is a step ahead towards India being called as a developed country.

If you ask for online submition of the form, how will you submit your finger scan and eye retine scan through online.??!!!
Let them implement for 1 billion Indian residents, then it will be given for NRI's.
If you want you can submit the form as residents during your residence and you will get the card in 2-3 months time as post.
Its a good system. It will have all details f your driving license, PAN card, bank details and soon it will replace all these..kudos to the govt.

The Technology is new, but the procedure to issue Aadhaar is very old (shame).

There is no facility to obtain Aadhaar to NRI's staying outside India. There should be an option to apply online and collect it from Indian Office on production of requied ID proof.

Now the system is,the person should be present in India on a specified date.

There should be strict enforcement to deter people from giving wrong information or obtaining it fraudulently.

Instead of Issuing seperate ID cards like Electoral ID,PAN Card etc.a single card can be issued itegrating all this. Now the cost of obtaining all these ID cards become a burden for the poor.

Any new system will be resisted by those who want to override the system and do frauds or hide their illegal acts.

I appreciate Mr.Nilekani for his efforts to reach atleast this stage.Wish you all Success...I hope you can change the Poor Indians life.
