Private company workers arrested for illegal gathering and riots

The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry arrested six expats who caused riots and will take legal measures against them, and deport them out of the country.

In a press statement, the ministry said Wednesday, they received a complaint from a representative of a private company stating that a group of workers gathered and tried to assault him while delivering their salaries.

It added that a rescue patrol immediately moved to the location of the incident and upon its arrival, one of the company's workers assaulted the police car, and then the patrol commander fired a precautionary caliber in the air to disperse the gathering.

The ministry stressed that an investigation had been carried out and the rest of the workers involved were being seized and referred to the authorities.

Due to covid-19 crises, private companies employers have now forced their employees to apply for annual leave to get their monthly salaries. The salaries are being paid by deducting from employees annual paid leave days. Saying if any employee doesn''t apply will not receive salary.
In this I would like to know whether kuwait govt. Or labour department will able or has right to take any action against the company in this regard, so the employees rights are secured?

Thanks,

Sad day and time.
People forget where they are and the severity of the consequences for such actions. Either low grade workers or people who have been here too long. Now they will probably get nothing, pay big fine and do jail time before being deported.
Don''t get desperate people. Stay cool and if want to leave, go ahead in a cool way otherwise you will lose whatever you have also, no matter how little you have.
