
The Ministry of Health updated executive regulations for Law No. 31 of 2008, , which mandates medical examinations for individuals wishing to marry in Kuwait. This will be implemented from April 1st.
This initiative aims to enhance the quality of health services, protect public health and reduce the prevalence of genetic and infectious diseases within the community.

The medical examinations will now encompass all marriage contracts in Kuwait, regardless of the parties’ nationalities. This includes marriages between two Kuwaitis, a Kuwaiti and a non-Kuwaiti, or two non-Kuwaitis.
To streamline the process, a digital application will be utilized to facilitate certain procedures related to premarital medical examinations.
