Omicron: 20%  passengers from Kuwait cancelled travel tickets so far

Around 20% of the travelers from Kuwait cancelled their travel tickets so far since the announcement of the new mutant "Omicron". This is in addition to many cases of date changes, which indicates that travelers Kuwaitis are waiting for what will happen, in light of the fears of closing the airport.

The demand for new year travel plans also witnessed sharp decline and travelers demand for tourist destinations like Turkey, Cairo etc from Kuwait are very less.

However the sales of tourism and travel offices in Kuwait seen an increase of about 115 percent from January to September 2021, compared to the period of 2020, reaching 101 million dinars. The airport was closed most of the time in the year 2020. The sales during the same period in the year 2019 was about 308 million.
