No more Covid discounts on school fees; Offline classes to start on 26th

The Minister of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf, issued a ministerial decision regarding the work system and tuition fees in private schools for the academic year (2021/2022).

According to the decision, foreign schools in the country are permitted to start working in attendance starting from the 26th of this month.

The decision also gave instructions to restore private school tuitions back to their rates prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its understood to charge full fees since offline classes have started from October, but few Indian schools are charging full fees for 1st term as well which is quite unfair. Needed clear guidance from embassy on MOE''s rule on 1st term discounted fees structure. If it is MOE instructions of discounted fees structure during online schooling, how schools have freedom to exercise otherwise.

Request IIK or #indianembassy to kindly look into the matter of many Indian schools which have not given the govt approved discount for the period from April to September. Many Indians have been affected and schools are acting unfair by charging full fees for online classes, inspite of ministry directions. IIK... Please help

Firstly the MOE should extend the Covid discount on school fees for the entire year as still financial conditions have not improved.
The ministry should also note that the indian schools have not applied the discount for the academic year April 2021 fees structure and they charged full pre-Covid fees.
The Schools also charge exhorbitant in books, uniforms, exam fees etc. and compel the students to buy uniforms and books from the school store only.

Regarding the CBSE board fee as i see every school has different fee for board,60KD the schools are charging, if this is case schools has to show the Ministry paper with authorized signature about the fee, Indian schools are making lots of money, in the name of fee, online classes are really wasted parents money.

Agreed. But the Indian private schools have started the academic year in April itself...but they have not reduced the fees for the first term, i.e upto June 2021. Request MoE to specify clearly that the fees reduction should be given till September 2021.
