New rule for Pharmacies; Minimum 200m distance between two

Minister of Health Ahmad Al-Awadhi issued a ministerial decision stipulating that the distance between a pharmacy applying for a license and any pharmacy in its vicinity should be no less than 200 meters in all directions. The ministry’s drug control system will calculate the distance and establish the necessary controls.

The decision exempted pharmacies located in cooperative societies, community hospitals, community medical centers, shopping centers and markets.
