“No human masterpiece has been created without great labour” – Andre Gide
International Workers Day, also known as Labour Day, is observed on May 1st each year throughout the world to recognize and affirm the accomplishments attributed to all workers and to express gratitude for their selfless efforts, which significantly contribute to the improvement and development of the country.
The New Indian School always works to instill in its students the importance of having high moral standards and the dignity of labour.
The third-grade pupils organized a special assembly. Yaseen began the gathering by reciting verses from the Quran, while Noor Ahmed provided the translation. Larein Mohammed then offered a thought for the day that was insightful. Inaya emphasized the need to honor the working class in its purest form. Everyone was completely enthralled by an amazing dance performance set to music that reflected the labour.
Following the assembly, our principal, Mrs. Anita Sadanand, gave a brief statement about the significance of Labour Day and urged the students to be kind to those who contribute to the community's well-being.
To summarize, we observe Labour Day around the world to honor the contributions of millions of workers and their assistance. They make our jobs simple and put forth a lot of effort to give back to society in small ways. We hereby express our gratitude to all workers everywhere for their efforts and labour on this day.
