Municipality denied 500 KD fine for objects in corridor

In a clarification, Kuwait municipality denied issuing the circular of 500 KD fine for placing any object on the corridor or staircase of the apartment building. Earlier, various news outlets reported about 500 KD fine for the building owner for placing any objects including kids toys, shoe cabinets etc on the corridor or on the stairways of apartment buildings. However, the Municipality denied about issuing such warning.

The general rule is to keep the area near exit points and staircase-areas clear. It has nothing to do with your shoe-racks, etc.

From the moment "500 KD fine for tenants" came on social media, it was obvious that the news is fake.

I appreciate the person/groups who spread this fake news which really gave a positive effect with clean and safe corridor/balconies.

Should be 1000KD fine for placing old, unwanted, stinking items outside apartments and staircase causing nuisance to neighbors. Such items should either be thrown out or kept in their own balcony.
