The Interior Ministry conducted a wide scale inspection on bachelors housing in and shifted a number of expats on article no 20 staying in Bneid Al-Ghar to the government shelter.
The team found out a large number of expats on domestic worker visa (Article 20) are staying in various bachelor accommodation in Bneid Al-Ghar. As per the Kuwait rule, expat domestic workers are supposed to live with his or her Kuwaiti sponsor, where they work as domestic workers.
They were found to be staying in apartment buildings by violating all norms. Considering the humanitarian aspect, these workers were transferred to a labor shelter, providing them with all their needs.
