The Ministry of the Interior bans all use of electric scooters on public roads.
The ministry confirmed, through its Twitter account, that driving unauthorized motorcycles on public roads is a clear violation of the law, which leads to seizing the violating vehicle for a period not exceeding two months according to Article 207 of the executive regulations, and also endangers the life of its driver and other road users.
In many residential areas, individuals of all ages uses such "scooter", specially in the evening, and some have taken it as a means to reach the cooperative societies in the area or public parks.
