The Ministry of Health approved new regulations that would allow it to have ‘strict supervision’ to prevent medical errors in private hospitals and clinics, local Arabic daily Al-Anbaa reported.
According to report, the ministry informed private medical facilities that they are required to report back any case in which a patient is sent to a public hospital, which might indicate that negligence was involved. This would allow investigations to take place and determine whether or not medical errors took place.
