The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry has taken action against a food company after finding more than 23 tons of spoiled and tampered food in one of its warehouses. The discovery was made during an inspection carried out in cooperation with the General Authority for Food and Nutrition.
According to the ministry, the company was illegally changing the country of origin and expiration dates on several food products, which could be dangerous for public health. The seized food included items like dried shrimp, nuts, spices, and legumes.
Officials confirmed that legal action is being taken against the company, and further investigations are underway. The Ministry also reassured the public that inspections will continue in markets and warehouses to ensure the safety and quality of food products for consumers.
