Amid heightened field monitoring of the country's food security, Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, conducted an inspection tour of Wholesale Market in the Shuwaikh area on Wednesday. The visit was part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to assess food stock levels and ensure the steady availability of essential commodities in the market.
During the tour, Al-Ansari inspected supplies of bottled water, food items, and canned goods. Vendors confirmed that market activity was stable, company warehouses were well-stocked, and there were no abnormal consumer withdrawals. They reassured that there was no cause for concern, and all essential goods were readily available.
Additionally, water supply companies are reportedly preparing to release extra quantities to the market in the coming days, as a proactive step to bolster public confidence and maintain steady product availability.
