Minister ordered to remove all violations in labour camps; Strict checking from tomorrow

The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, ordered all labour camps to remove any violations immediately. Minister also gave instruction to officials to conduct strict checking in all labour camps to make sure that all safety protocols are in place.

During his visit to the Mangaf labour camp, where more than 45 people are died in a tragic fire incident on Wednesday early morning, Minister said that the officials will also take strict action regarding the overcrowding of workers at such camps.

Minister said that the owner of the property where the fire occurred will be detained for investigation and to find out whether there was any negligence on his part.
