
Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel held a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of bottled water factories to discuss current market conditions and coordinate efforts to meet growing consumer demands.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Ajeel emphasized the government's commitment to removing any obstacles faced by local water producers. He affirmed that the ministry is working in close coordination with other government agencies to ensure uninterrupted production and supply. He also issued a strong warning against any attempts to manipulate or raise prices, stating that the ministry will intensify market monitoring and will not tolerate any violations.
The minister expressed his appreciation for the proactive role played by bottled water factories during previous challenges, praising their national responsibility and contribution to maintaining market stability.
Factory representatives assured the minister that all plants are fully operational and running at full capacity. They reiterated their commitment to continue supporting the national interest by ensuring the steady availability of bottled water at stable prices.
In a related statement, the Ministry of Commerce reassured citizens and residents that bottled water is widely available across all sales outlets, including cooperative societies and hypermarkets. The ministry also confirmed that large stockpiles of bottled water are stored in warehouses, with no signs of shortage or supply chain disruptions.
Furthermore, commercial control teams are conducting daily inspections to monitor the availability and prices of water and essential goods, ensuring continuous flow and price stability in the market.
