A massive fire broke out Monday evening at a sponge factory in the Subhan industrial area, covering an area of 2,000 square meters. Six firefighting teams controlled the fire without causing any significant injuries.
The firefighting operation was supervised by the Chief of the General Fire Force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, under the field leadership of the Acting Deputy Chief of the Firefighting Sector, Brigadier General Ahmed Haif Hamoud.
The Director General of the Public Authority for Industry, Shamlan Al-Juhaidli, was present at the accident site.
