Mangaf labour camp fire: Death toll crossed 45

In the tragic incident of fire at a company labour camp in Mangaf, the death toll crossed 45. Majority of those deceased are Indians. Several people are also injured in the incident, including some in critical condition. All have been taken to several nearby hospitals for necessary medical treatment, the ministry said. Medical teams are doing their utmost to provide due medical care to those injured in the building fire, it reassured.

The fire incident happened on Wednesday morning around 4:am and is suspected to be from the gas cylinder stored in the watchman's room. According to report, nearly 160 people were living in it, who are workers of the same company.

The Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf Al-Sabah visited the incident site and ordered police to apprehend the owner of the building where a fatal blaze that occurred Wednesday, the building's janitor, as well as the owner of the company responsible for the workers who live in said building pending the end of the criminal evidence personnel's examination of the scene.

Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Dr Adarsh Swaika also visited the site and assured all assistance to complete any official formalities and to those who are admitted to the hospital.

Sheikh Fahad added that he gave orders to Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Manpower to launch immediate action to address similar violations where large number of workers are crammed into one residential building, and make sure that all safety requirements are in place in order to prevent similar incidents in the future. is now on WhatsApp Channel    Follow Channel

Indian Embassy and Kuwait Municipality should visit Al-Arabiya Electronics Accommodation, there are one Room 4 Each in two bed apartment and hall also 4 person total 12 person in one Room with one bathroom , lot of gas cylinder mostly worker are from India management eyepaint the are treatment with staff very bad.
