The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy (MEW) in Kuwait is preparing to lower its alert level as the summer season approaches its end.
The peak electrical load recorded this summer was on July 13, which is 17,360 megawatts.
With only about 10 days left in the summer season, the Ministry expects temperatures to gradually decrease.
If the peak load remains stable at 17,360 megawatts, the annual increase compared to last summer’s peak load of 16,940 megawatts will be about 2.5 percent, lower than the expected increase of 4.5 percent to 5 percent.
