The Assistant Undersecretary for the Customer Service Sector at the Ministry of Electricity , Water and Renewable Energy, Eng. Falah Al-Mutairi, said that the ministry collected 200 million dinars during the first quarter of the current fiscal year from the ministry’s debts to others.
This is the first time in its history, the Ministry was able to collect the debts of this amount during the first quarter.
Last year September, Kuwait had implemented the new rule, in which a foreign nationals must pay their water and electricity bill before travelling abroad. Authorities had also opened a center at the Airport to facilitate the bill payment before travel.
