One of the most happening Toastmasters club in Kuwait, MACE SPRINGS TOASTMASTERS CLUB (MSTC) Club # 2162143, under Area 19, Division E, District 19 conducted its meeting # 184 via zoom on 26-Feb. The COVID vrisu failed to contain the enthusiasm of its members aided by the gracious presence of presence toastmaster’s guest’s TM Asmaa Al-Enezi, TM Fatma Dashthi & TM Xavier Mathu.
The meeting began on time at 3:00PM sharp a trait of any Toastmaster club meeting. The theme of the day Congratulations and Celebrations coined by the Toastmaster of Day TM Surya was in line with general mood of Kuwait celebrating the Liberation and National Days. All the role players, speakers shared their experiences of staying in Kuwait and benefitting from the friendly atmosphere provided by the great nation Kuwait.
The meeting was threaded by TMOD with some quiz questions on Kuwait history, geography and its friendly relations with other nations in between the speech sessions which were eagerly answered by the attendees.
The session was speakathon session meaning a marathon of prepared speech sessions by four toastmasters. The speeches by toastmasters Madhusudan Reddy, Kazim Ali Mirza, Abdul Azeez and Tabassum Ali were well received by all attendees. The evaluation by General Evaluator TM Kuteba Yousef had some insights to share to improve further the quality of the meeting. He invited the speech evaluators TM Murugaiyan, TM Alka Kumra, TM Kapil Kumra and TM Rahul Dinodia who did a wonderful job in giving a positive evaluation to the speakers. The grammarian and Ah counter TM Hazel did an excellent job giving her report on grammar used, word of the day Liberation used and tips for improvement in usage of English language. The timing was excellently managed by TM Madhu who took up the role despite him being a speaker apart from being the Meeting Host.
Toastmasters is all about ‘empowering’ individuals in the art of public speaking, communication and leadership skill. Toastmasters Club provides a supportive and positive learning environment wherein members are empowered to develop their communication and leadership skills that results in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
