Talking about traffic congestion, all might have noticed the increase in traffic jams since Sunday due to commencement of Arabic schools. The reason- I believe they don’t use transport buses for schools like Indian schools. They probably feel it is below their dignity to travel by bus. When several cars and drivers are available at their disposal, why not use them? This could be one of reasons for traffic increase.

Fact!!! Fact!!! Fact!!!!!
Kuwait infrastructure and businesses are in such a manner that without cars its impossible. Now, there are new buildings built with inadequate carparking facilities.
Government must not approve building constructions which has inadequate parking facilities.

You hit the nail, Syed. Very accurate analysis. Even though many buildings lying vacant, they are building new buildings, no or very less parking for these buildings.

All ex-pats required a car. Due to discrimination, many people are not getting it.

Traffic because of irregulated apartment constructions.
Kuwaiti areas have max two floors with 2 or 3 families in each building.
Thats why no traffic congestion in Kuwaiti Areas.
But in expat areas apartments with each floor 5 families of 8 to 9 floor buildings. means each apartment has 40 to 50 families.
So 10 to 20 cars come out of each kuwaiti area per street but nearly 400 to 500 cars come out of expat areas per street.
