The Ministry of Public Works signs an agreement to conduct a financial, economic, and technical feasibility study for the railway project connecting Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed with the SYSRTA alliance to conduct the comprehensive study.
This collaborative effort aims to establish a sustainable and efficient railway link, enhancing connectivity for safe transportation between the two countries.
This agreement reflects the shared vision of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Eid Al-Rashidi said.
The rail link is an estimated distance of 650 kilometers between Kuwait and Riyadh and will reduce the travel time to approximately two hours through efficient railway connectivity. The feasibility study is expected to complete in six month.
