Kuwait opens Airport. More than 10,000 tickets cancelled

As Kuwait opened its Airport for commercial operation today, according to reports, more than 10,000 tickets will be cancelled after the sudden decision to ban commercial aviation with 31 countries.

Reports said that this decision caused an economic catastrophe and heavy losses for some airlines, travel and tourism offices.

Earlier several airlines opened booking to destinations including India and Egypt where a large number of expatriates booked their ticket to travel back to Kuwait. However, on Friday, Kuwait bans people from 7 countries from entering Kuwait. Whereas from Egypt and Lebanon, the cancellation was on last minute. According to source, the first Lebanon flight arrived Kuwait today before the ban was announced with around 200 passengers, all carrying PCR certificate and allowed to enter Kuwait. However, all other flights got cancelled in the last moment, which caused a huge loss for some airlines.

Report says that on the first day of the opening of the Airport, Seven flights scheduled to enter Kuwait got cancelled before they took off from Egypt.

There is reason for silence. The time for talking has come to an end. Unwanted expats did not leave when told thousands of time over the years. Now they will die here. I suggest you start digging your own graves.

Can anybody please update about next repatriation flights to India?
Neither Embassy nor AirIndia pick the phone. Absolutely silent!
Thousands of people need to visit urgently to attend funerals and to see crtitically ill family members!
Everybody is silent

Each country has its own rights to decide who will enter the country and who will leave . For an expatriate the leaving becomes important if some one is sick , dead , or some other urgent issues. For God s sake and on humanitarian grounds allow such person to travel . If your ports are closed let them go by any means land or sea to near by country so that they can see there families.
For God s sake please think .
