Kuwait impose travelers to sign a pledge before leaving the country

In the light of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide, all passengers travelling from Kuwait via airports or land borders are required to sign a mandatory

pledge to comply with the safety rules set forth by the ministries of health and interior upon their return.

As per the pledge, anyone travelling form Kuwait must oblige to remain in a 14-day quarantine if required up on his return to Kuwait. Upon return to Kuwait, the traveler also obliged to cooperate with the competent authorities in order to curb the spread of the virus and protect the public health in Kuwait.

In case of failure to meet the obligations, travelers would be liable to legal measures stipulated in the above-mentioned law, the statement reminded.

Introduction of this pledge comes in light of the wide spread of the new Corona virus "Covid-19" internationally and the precautionary measures taken to confront this virus across the globe. As the number of infected cases in Kuwait are on the rise, it is also believed that other countries may impose a ban to enter and leave travelers to and from Kuwait at any time.
