Kuwait cricket team defeats Maldives 107-103 in World Cup qualifiers

Kuwait national cricket team defeated on Thursday Maldives 107-103 in the Asian qualifiers for the Cricket World Cup Australia 2022.

The Kuwaiti team dominated the match and was able to score 104 runs quickly in the game to set a new record. Kuwait is scheduled to face Qatar on Friday to determine the qualified team for the World Cup next year.

Edson Daisy Silva declared man of the match for his brilliant all round performance scoring 58 runs in 29 balls and picking up 2 wickets in a 3 overs spell.

Earlier in the morning, Adnan Idrees was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets giving away 17 runs in 4 overs.

Kuwait is right back in the tournament and tops the table at the moment with the highest NRR.
