According to study, Kuwait is covered with dust for around 25% of an year, ie around four months in a year is full of dust in Kuwait.

According to experts, this happens mostly in the summer, due to its geographical location, climatic conditions, geological nature, characteristics of its soil, characteristics of its vegetation cover and patterns of land use.

According to a study by the Kuwait Fund for Development, the damage it causes amounts to about 190 million dinars in Kuwait annually, including the damages caused on humans, animals, plants, the natural environment and that on public health.

Experts suggest various implementation to address these issues such reviving the agricultural lands in southern Iraq, in order to mitigate the effects of dust, from which the dust comes to Kuwait, etc.
