Kuwait cabinet suspended all Taxis in the country

Kuwait cabinet in its meeting on Thursday decided to stop the movement of taxis in the country. He also added that Kuwait Supply Company would provide the local market with all food staples to be determined by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Earlier, government spokesman Tareq Al-Muzaram announced today, Thursday, that the cabinet is holding an extraordinary meeting.

Have you seen the chaotic situation in other countries..supermarkets empty, goons beating essential vendors and not allowing shops to open.
Here you have bakala in every street and no shortage of fresh milk and fruits and vegetables. On top of that, you are getting paid leave for staying in home and big time window to go out and purchase yr requirements. All this is being done at gr8 loss of income to kuwait. If you complain , then you are nothing but an ungrateful fool

Good decision to control the spread of virus. Taxis and taxi drivers are a potential source of virus spread, as so many passengers travel in them.
Fortunately we have Bakalas everywhere in the residential areas, which should help us in taking care of our food requirements in these difficult times.

There are small shops like bakala outside of our building even coop societies nearby. You won’t starve! This is just a month of simple sacrifice. It’s your choice to Live or die!

We - family of 4 do not have car- and go to supermarket now 1 time a week to not go out often and take taxi back. Without taxi we need to shop every day now 🙁

Stopped public transport few weeks back and now taxis. How will people who doesn''t own a car travel to buy essential goods?? If its a complete lock down then kindly inform that and do so instead of making peoples life in trouble like this
