I would like to share some insights on how we can effectively combat the issue of fictitious companies in our region, drawing on successful practices from India.

In India, the government has implemented a robust verification process for companies seeking to obtain a GST license. This involves a government officer visiting the company''s premises to conduct a thorough verification of documents in person. During this visit, a photograph of the director is taken at the same location, which serves as proof that the company is legitimate and operational from the outset.

Furthermore, the officers periodically revisit these premises to ensure that the company continues to exist and operate in the same location. This proactive approach has proven effective in curbing the growth of fake companies.

I believe that adopting a similar verification process in Kuwait could significantly reduce the prevalence of fictitious companies. By ensuring that companies are regularly checked and verified, we can foster a healthier business environment that promotes transparency and trust.
