Walking down the streets of the souq here in Kuwait, I take in the aromatic essence of everthing around me. Arabic food at its finest; shawarmas on the coalfire grill and falafels, fatayers and kunafa for one with a sweet tooth. Scarfed girls running around, men in white and women in black.

This might feel different from bearded old men trading pearls and little boys selling spicy chaat around the corners of Chawri bazaar and Chandni Chawk or the mouthwatering smell of pani puri in the streets of old Delhi.

The warmth of the colours back in India may seem drastically different from the coolness this country that has so hospitably made us feel at home, offers us. Yet, there are a few things that unite us regardless.

The people. The noor in the people's eyes and the love in their hearts is what stands most attractive in these two nations. Always with a helping hand reaching out, the people here will always be there for each other. The culture and diversity of both India and Kuwait and their acceptance brings us all together, as one, now and in the hopeful future.
