
The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday declared June 26 (Thursday) as a public holiday on the occasion of the Islamic New Year (Hijri New Year), with all ministries and state bodies suspending work on that day and resuming work on June 29 (Sunday).
The decision was made by the Cabinet during its customary weekly meeting that was presided over by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The Cabinet congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on the Islamic New Year, wishing Kuwait and both Arab and Muslim worlds goodness and blessings.
