Kuwait Begins Major Upgrade on Al-Soor Street

The Ministry of Public Works has started maintenance work on Al-Soor Street, located behind the Insurance Building, as part of a larger plan to upgrade roads across Kuwait. This project is one of 18 road rehabilitation efforts taking place under the “New Kuwait 2035” development vision. Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, emphasized the government’s commitment to high technical and engineering standards, highlighting the importance of better roads for sustainability and urban growth.

Engineer Jamal Al-Otaibi, who supervises the "Contract 8 – Second Zone" project in Kuwait City, stated that a new Type 3 asphalt layer is being laid on Al-Soor Street, in line with approved specifications. He added that this upgrade is part of new efforts to modernize Kuwait’s road network, ensuring smoother and safer transportation for everyone.
