In a sweeping security campaign conducted across all governorates, the General Directorate of Residency Affairs Investigation arrested 440 violators of the Residency and Labor Law between April 30 and May 9, 2025. The campaign was conducted in coordination with relevant authorities.
According to the Ministry of Interior, these efforts are part of a broader strategy to curb illegal labor practices, track residency law violations, and reduce negative behaviors linked to non-compliance with Kuwait’s labor and residency regulations.
All those arrested have been referred to the competent authorities for legal processing, with strict action promised against both workers and employers found violating the law.
The Ministry reaffirmed that security campaigns will continue across all areas, with a zero-tolerance policy toward violations.
