Jleeb and Mahboulla lockdown to end on July 9th

Kuwait's cabinet, in its meeting Thursday, instructed the Interior Ministry to lift the novel coronavirus-related full isolation of Mahboula and Jleeb Al Shuyoukh Areas starting from 05:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9.

The lockdown was imposed on the two expatriates-dominated and heavily populated areas since April 6 after being emerged as hotspots for the coronavirus.

The cabinet, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also instructed the Finance Ministry to secure KD 75 million (USD 243.8 million) for the Ministry of Health to be ready to purchase vaccines for coronavirus, Deputy Premier, Interior Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Anas Al-Saleh said in a statement after the meeting.

It also decided to increase the budget of the Public Authority for Manpower by KD 240.4 million (USD 781.7 million) to support Kuwaiti employees at the private sector and avoid any negative impacts on them due to the pandemic lockdowns.

Many Indian expatriates are continuing to vacate their present accommodations in the nation and empty buildings are now seen due to emergency situation and financial status of most individuals to repatriate back to their own Indian destinations through the Indian mission flights and chartered flights.
The expatriates still living as residents, continue life following the social distancing practices, procedure and social health along being part of their daily life. Hope everyone continues forward with safe health in their age and support each other to live life.
