“We invest for our customers benefits” - Jazeera Airways CEO Rohit Ramachandran

“We invest for our customers benefits” - Jazeera Airways CEO Rohit Ramachandran

After the successful launch of its first service to Hyderabad, India , Kuwait’s leading low cost airline Jazeera Airways is all set to expand its presence in India with more service to Kochi and Ahmedabad. Jazeera Airways will now fly to Ahmedabad and Kochi starting January 17th and 18th respectively.

"We are delighted with the great response we received for our Hyderabad service. For our Kochi and Ahmedabad service also we are getting very good response from the people", Mr. Rohit Ramachandran, CEO of Jazeera Airways told IndiansinKuwait.com in an exclusive chat.

"The decision to start more sectors in India came from the rising demand of Indian expats visiting their friends and families, as well as the large interest of Kuwaiti travellers in exploring new destinations for tourism and medical visits", Mr Rohit said. "Our newly started Hyderabad service witness many Kuwaiti passengers who are visiting Hyderabad for tourism or medical tourism purpose," he added.

Jazeera Airways will operate three flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays to and fro Ahmedabad starting January 17th departing 00.05am from Kuwait and arriving 06.00am, ensuring a quick and efficient journey. Return from Ahmedabad will be at 6:45 am to reach Kuwait at 8:45 am Kochi flights will operate four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays departing at 12.45 pm from Kuwait and arriving at 20.10pm in Kochi International Airport. Return at 20:55 from Kochi to reach 00:10 at Kuwait. Passengers can enjoy a baggage allowance of 30kg for Economy class and 50kg per Business class passenger on both these sectors.

"Very shortly we will be starting our Mumbai service also," Rohit told Indiansinkuwait.com. The airline is also exploring the possibility to cater to other areas including the upcoming Kannur airport in Kerala, he added. However the current seat-entitlements between India and Kuwait is not proportional to the number of Indian expats living in this country. He said the airlines are requesting the two governments to engage in negotiations to enhance the number of seats being currently flown.

Jazeera Airways terminal at Kuwait Airport

"Even though we are a budget airlines, we invest heavily on areas which benefit our customers," Mr Rohit Said to IndiansinKuwait.com. Jazeera airways exclusive terminal at Kuwait International Airport will be opened for its passengers within a month or two, he said. The New terminal with separate entrance, parking lot, and emigration counters will largely benefit the Jazeera Airways passengers to avoid the heavy traffic in the existing Kuwait Airport terminal. The New Jazeera Airways terminal will be using latest technology with many self-check-in services and various automation services. This terminal will also have Exclusive Jazeera Airways launch for its premium passengers.

Passengers today want affordable fares, value for money, and on time performance. Especially the expatriates who travel once in two year to visit their family don’t want a luxury experience in the flight. Rather they would prefer to save that money to spend it in their country with their family. This is where Jazeera Airways come in. "With the competitive price we are offering, the expatriates can now travel two or three times in a year to be with their families," he said.

According to annual OAG Punctuality League report, Jazeera Airways is the most punctual in the Middle East and second most in the world for on-time performance. The accreditation was judged based on On-Time percentage of flights that depart or arrive within 15 minutes of airline schedule, by the international leader in air travel intelligence. “We are extremely proud of this achievement as being recognized among the best in class on a global scale," Rohit said.

Jazeera Park & Fly service

"Another innovative service we provide our customer is the Park & Fly service, which benefits any short term travellers". During your short trip in Jazeera Airways, you can drive directly to the designated parking lot at 'Jazeera Airways Park & Fly' located at Jazeera Airways main office opposite the Amiri Terminal, drop your luggage, check-in to your Jazeera Airways flight and take your boarding pass, their special shuttle service will take you to the airport – bypassing the usual traffic and skipping airport queues. With a very nominal rate of 2.5 KD per day, this long term parking facility will be a big relief for short duration travellers from Kuwait.

Rohit Ramachandran, who hails from Kochin, Kerala took charge as the CEO of Kuwait’s first private airline almost a year back. By focussing on operational efficiency and keeping the costs down, airline is able to achieve stable financial results. With the service to places such as Baku in Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Egypt etc, Jazeera also provides excellent short term tourism destinations for the large expatriate community in Kuwait.

With many new Indian cities on its radar, where even the budget airlines charges high prices in the summer season, Rohit Ramachandra assures that Jazeera Airways will give a competitive price for the large number of Indian expatriates in Kuwait to travel to their home land to be with their loved once.

Dear Rohit,
Congrats for the excellent job. Its sad that there is no flight to the south of India as many people from TN and Kerala are looking forward for the Trivandrum Flight. Now the Middle East flights are reaping the benefits of the passengers from this region. Hope you also start a flight at least for 3 days in a week to the capital city of Kerala to cater to the needs of the people of 2 states at a time. Thank you so much for your attention and quick action.

Proud that Indians are heading the Private Industry In Kuwait. Dr. Ramesh Ramachandran, CEO of EQUATE and now Rohit Ramachandran, CEO of Jazeera Airways are making Indian community proud in Kuwait.

Your daily flights to Hyderabad are a roaring success and please continue the same way. Your prices are very competitive and will attract more and more expat and Kuwaiti customers.

Dear Sir,

Keralites in Kuwait are very happy after introducing
Jezzera Airways to Cochin an back to Kuwait four days a week.

By starting Jezzera, there is no doubt passengers will get very competitive price for direct flight to Kochi. Thanks
for Mr. Rohit,
However, as commented by others, the scheduled timing and days are not comfortably suitable for the passengers.
For the convenient for Kochin Passengers departure time should be after 6PM and there should be return flight on Sataruday/Sunday arriving Kuwait before 6Am. This could
attract more passengers.

Trivandurm is the Capital of Kerala, and hub of IT companies(say Technopark) also tourisitc centre and gate of of Tamil Nadu. Therefore, without much delay
service to be started toTrivandurm Sector, with comfortable flight schedule.

Hope Mr. Rohit can do the best to comply with above comments/request

Best Wishes for a Great Success under an Indian
mission and vision.

Congratulations to Jazeera Airways for establishing more destinations.
I am bringing a suggestion to you that many Andhra People (Rayalaseema and Costal Andhra) travelling
from Chennai. If you start service from Tirupati to Kuwait weekly once /twice, it will be 100% occupancy.
Many employee are working with low salaries, so your ticket fare is with their budget. Kindly try to establish the Tirupati to Kuwait service.

Cochin flight schedule is really disappointing. No flights on the weekends & also the timing is mid day.

Like Thomas mentioned although there are more than 1 million Indians living in Kuwait no Indian budget airlines like Indigo, Spicejet, Air Asia operating to Kuwait.

Oman-Cochin-Oman flight fare is just Rs.11,000 for Indigo.

Let's travel on Jazeera Airways and encourage them.Boycott Kuwait Airways because of their bad and arrogant behaviour. Hope Jazeera Airways will change to suitable timing for the working community.
Hope Indian private Airlines such as Indigo and Goair start the service as Indian airlines has not used even 50% of their quotas.Hope our new Ambassador and Indian Embassy officials will take initiate for this rather than supporting Kuwait Airways dominancy.Kuwait has more than one milion of indians which is more than in other Gulf countries such as Oman and Qatar. But Indian private Airlines like Indigo,Spicejet are operating to Oman and Qatar. Jet Airways is only operating to Mumbai directly.

Wish you and your team all the best. Kuwait/Kochi/Kuwait timings are not suitable if you take a customer survey, most of them would prefer to fly from Kuwait by night/midnight and to reach in Kochi by early morning/morning hours. Night time travel would always benefit the passengers without wasting their valuable day time nor here or there, especially for short term travelers. Kindly consider to change the time schedule for Kochi. Thank you and best regards,

AFTER SUCCESFULLY LAUNCH TO HYDERABAD SECTOR, Telangana and AP state people are very much excited and thanks to Jazeera Airways....

But do not put daily flights to hyderabad sector, this will make huge loss if return passenger not full,,,this is happened to Kuwait airways before and cancelled its flights to Hyderabad....Use weekly 3-4 flights only then there will be no loss for the Airlines and we wish your Airlines should come to hyderabad permannently...

Thanks you so much SIR Jii

Its good to know Jazeera Airways are starting for many destinations in INDIA for benefit of Indian Expats but what about connecting INDIA's Capital New Delhi .

Its very Sad to see that New Delhi is given last importance which is not only important for Tourism towards Himachal / Utrakhand/UP but also for Medical Tourism.
I feel Jazeera Airways must start service for New Delhi also.

Also I would like to mention about arrival timings of incoming flight to Kuwait. Timings should be early morning between 2.30 - 4.00 AM ( which most other flights are having) so that working class can join their duty / work on same day .

All The Best Mr. Rohit and Team and we wish you all the success.

By the way, even if the time and schedule was allotted by DGCA, the current time and schedule to Kochi is very odd timing. Hope you and your team will strive hard to get an appropriate Schedule.
