Indian Embassy in Kuwait launched ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign to mark the 75th Anniversary of India’s independence and 60th anniversary of Diplomatic relations between India and Kuwait on Thursday 11th August 2022 at the Embassy premises.
Ambassador of India to Kuwait H.E. Shri Sibi George jointly with H.E. Mazen Al Ansari, Assistant Under Secretary, Foreign Media relations, Ministry of Information flagged off the campaign, which was attended by a number of Indian business community and invited guests.
The Chief Guest for the event, H.E. Mazen Al Ansari, Assistant Under Secretary, Foreign Media relations, Ministry of Information recalled the historic relation between India and Kuwait and wished for further strengthening of relations in all spheres. The Chief Guest remarked that in difficult times of COVID-19, Kuwait extended a helping hand to India by supplying medical Oxygen. India too sent medical teams to Kuwait in those desperate times. This signifies the deep rooted ties between the two countries.
As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, people in Kuwait will witness the glimpses of India as several busses are carrying the advertisement promoting India in Kuwait.
H.E. Ambassador also urged the Indian diaspora in Kuwait to join the campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and encouraged all to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
This year, the Indian Embassy will celebrate Independence Day virtually on August 15 at 8 AM by unfurlying the Indian Tricolor at the Embassy premises. The event is organizing mostly as virtual event. Ambassador invites all Indians to join virtually at 8 AM on Embassy social media pages on August 15 to hoist tricolor, sing the national anthem and celebrate India's Independence Day by hoisting the national flag at their homes.
